TRUSTFILE ACQUIRES FORMSPLUS SOFTWARE, INC.
Baton Rouge, LA., October 15, 2003 -
Trustfile, a company with nearly 20 years' experience in business-tax filing, agreed to
acquire the sales tax, property tax, and unemployment tax software programs of Atlanta-based
FormsPlus Software, Inc. The combination of FormsPlus Software's products with Trustfile's
other state business tax e-file products will broaden the choices available to Trustfile's
business customers.
"Trustfile has years of experience and already serves thousands of businesses in Florida,
South Carolina and Tennessee, and we have recently launched Wisconsin," said Trustfile
President King Woolf. "The FormsPlus acquisition helps to pave the way to serving more
customers that file business taxes in every state of the U.S."
Trustfile Benefits
Trustfile offers software and a tax-processing system that allow businesses and tax preparers
(CPAs) to quickly and efficiently prepare, file and pay state business taxes electronically.
The software and tax-processing systems include all current tax rates, regulations and current
tax-agency specifications for preparation, electronic filing and payment.
Trustfile software offers business filers several key benefits
- A proven
and reliable way to handle e-filing and e-payment: Trustfile staff have
extensive knowledge of e-filing and e-payment requirements. Certified
by the departments of revenue (DOR) in Florida, South Carolina, and
Tennessee, Trustfile was the first company in the nation authorized
by a state to facilitate sales and use tax e-filing and e-payment.
- An easy,
cost-effective way to prepare, e-file and e-pay business taxes: Trustfile
software features and easy-to-use interface and quick access to historical
data for reference, planning or audit purposes. That way, companies
can spend less time filing taxes and more time building their businesses.
- Confidence
in e-filing: Trustfile software offers timely acknowledgement of filing
and payment, the assurance of quality and accuracy of filings, automatic
form calculations as states specify them and tax data that are securely
stored on their own systems. "Perhaps most important, Trustfile
has been facilitating business-tax filing from some 20 years,"
said Woolf. "In fact, one of our subsidiaries, Florida Software,
Inc., was the first U.S. company certified for e-filing by a state department
of revenue. Our expertise and historical relationships with state revenue
agencies gives us a thorough and current knowledge of filing specifications.
That means we can track and meet state revenue-agency requirements to
ensure filers' compliance."
