Starting Over
If you are unable to recover any data, then starting from scratch is your only option.
The following steps outline this process.
- Locate your software. Replacement installation CDs and/or software download instructions are
available by contacting Trustfile Sales at 877 222 0187. Replacement CDs may be sent at no charge
via USPS. If possible, please locate your Customer ID before calling.
- Install the software to a computer. Keep in mind...
- You will need your serial number. Contact Trustfile to obtain this number.
- Your computer must meet Trustfile’s system requirements (available on our web site
and with the CD packaging).
- You may need to update your software to the latest version. Check the program help
for more assistance with this process.
- Restore your data using one of the recovery options listed in this plan. If you are unable
to recover your data, follow these steps:
- Set up your company(ies) and location(s). Depending on which application you are
using, you may be able to import this data. Check the program Help for more information
about importing.
- Enter the necessary tax data. Note that it is not always necessary to re-enter
previous return data. Simply enter in the information required for your next filing
(i.e., employee information for Florida UCT filers, assets for GA Property Tax filers, etc.).
- If e-filing, plan to transmit early. Give yourself plenty of time to deal with any issue
that may arise with the new install.
